Catherine, Fur Fit For A Princess

 

Did I mention I love HRH Catherine Duchess of Cambridge? There may not be a greater style icon for her generation. The “Kate Effect” has hit full force since the 2011 Royal Wedding, with everything she wears selling out within minutes. After Kate accessorized with this warm jacket for her wedding reception she inspired a new wave of bridal furs for seasonal weddings.

 

Of course, not everyday demands a wedding gown, so the Duchess has a few more fur pieces that are appropriate for less formal occasions. After a hair appointment in London she stepped out in a fur-lined brown suede coat.

 

Never one to let a good coat go to waste, the Duchess recycled it while walking puppy Lupo weeks later.

 

Fur coats are not the only fur fashion choice Kate has made in recent years. One of my personal favorite looks is this fabulous fur hat.

 

Bonus! Little sis Pippa Middleton has also been known to wear fur. This black fur stole makes the perfect cold weather accessory.

Fur-Filled Reign

I’ll be the first to admit I’m a fan of timeless fur fashions. In honor of Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee (that’s 60 years as Queen!) I’ve been searching for her best fur choices throughout the years.
Before the present Queen Elizabeth II, her mother, also Queen Elizabeth, sported fur on many occasions. Here she makes an official appearance with her husband, King George VI. No doubt her fashion sense influenced her daughter.
